InnoBuild is a triennial EU funded project, lasting 2012 – 2015. Falu municipality in Sweden and Lyngdal municipality in Norway will together develop a joint public procurement strategy. Their objective is further to implement a joint procurement for sustainable high tech building projects for senior citizens, supporting the needs of senior citizens and the municipalities’ obligation to deliver certain services.
The main objective is to improve the process by which contracting public authorities and entities are acquiring goods and services.
The methodology that will be used, is suited for public procurement of innovation. It is based on a communicative logic. Contracting authorities must to some degree be willing to change their procurement process, and economic operators’ abilities to deliver innovative solutions are tested. The methodology is described in the tab “Step-by-step guide”
They are supported by the Norwegian National Programme for Supplier Development and Agency for Public Management and eGovernment.
Information about the project will be posted continuously on this website.
